Beyonce's show-stopping metallic robot outfit and wild dance routine on US television this week certainly wasn't inspired by an extra-terrestrial encounter.
The R&B diva's performance bears a striking resemblance to a show put on by Kylie Minogue back in 2002.
During Kylie's "Come Into My World" Fever tour, she opened the concert encased in a robot costume, which was based on designs from the 1927 film Metropolis by famed Austrian director Fritz Lang.
Beyonce, like Kylie, emerged from the space-age suit and began to sing and dance after its metallic panels opened up electronically.

It is not the first time Beyonce has been accused of stealing, with one current lawsuit forcing her to suspend production of her latest album.
The 25-year-old is currently being sued by soul star Des'ree after she covered one of her songs and put it on her B'Day Deluxe album without copyright permission.
