Sleaze Ball 2008

This years Sleaze Ball by New Mardi Gras is just over two months away, the theme is "Villains Lair"

Recognising that it’s the bad boys who have the most fun, thousands of evil geniuses, scoundrels, deviants and monstrous freaks of nature will on 4th October come together for Sleaze Ball 2008.

I am so excited, I have started planning my outfit already...

Homesexual High School Reunion

On Sunday night I went to Homesexual alone as my BF was sick, although not partying with my partner I still had a great time with my friends. A big thanks to the new boys I met, the boys I danced with and the girls silicone breasts that I was invited to caress.

Dressed in little but jeans and my original my college tie, I danced all night and ended up at an underground club called Phoenix.  A club that opens from 7am to 3pm thanks Brett.

Thanks for VIP tickets Stephen I had a great night, can't wait for the next one!

QUEENS BIRTHDAY !

We Gay boys don't really need a reason to party, lets face it!

So when the Queen has a birthday we queens must celebrate in only the way we know how!

Hold a Dance Party with DJ's from anywhere but local, ensure hot semi naked muscled boys are dancing & looking pretty, produce a spectacular lighting display with multi colored lasers, but most importantly, don't forget to stock the bar with thousands of bottles of H2O.

Some of the parties on this Queens Birthday long weekend!

My partner and I have chosen only one party at this stage as we were sent some freebie tickets so we're off to Home Sexual for the High School Reunion although I didn't go to a high school I'll still go sporting my college tie patrolling for other old scholars.

ABBA always in my Heart

Last night I watched a documentary on ABBA, and it really touched me, it brought back so many memories, great memories of my childhood, I remember when at home we would all gather around the television to watch their concerts.

I was one of the lucky ones to have gone to their concert, it is still so vivid in my memory.

I guess when you are a preteen you really get attached to some things and ABBA I was enthralled with.  Still today I have some posters and concert booklets that I cherish ...

What a shame the 4 cannot get back together, I heard they were offered 1 Billion dollars to do so.  I guess when you earned over 1 million a day why would you.

However could you imagine how many shows they could still do.

At the end of the day I have my memories and my DVD of their concert which I am proudly playing  on my plasma TV through my Bose sound system LOUDLY.

Will never stop loving their music....

It was inevitable

A funny thing occurred yesterday, I called a dear female friend in Adelaide whom a number of years ago was going out with my best friend.

One day I was asked by both of them, whether or not she should take the job as cabin crew for emerites airline on an 18 month contract.  I said " absolutely yes go for it", to both her and her mothers excitement, but my best friend whom expected me to say no was not impressed.

She later accepted the contract and worked overseas jet setting all over the world having an amazing time.  She returned and got married to my best friend but they grew apart and are no longer together.

So yesterday when I mentioned that I had applied for QANTAS cabin crew, and that I had passed all of my interviews and that I feel confident of being offered a position, I asked her should I give up being a fire fighter to become a cabin crew member, she replied "absolutely YES go for it!", we both laughed and I said I should have known "It was inevitable" those comments would come back and bite me on the ass.

What to do?
Continue working as a fire fighter in a macho environment or if offered take the cabin crew position....

If any cabin crew read this please make a comment..

Rocks on Saturday

Today I managed to get my boy out of the apartment away from his computer and blog to go for a stroll through the beautiful Rocks area next to Sydney Harbor.  We came across this small outdoor market selling everything from olive oil to metal art.

It was great just to get out and remind myself why I love Sydney so much, believe it their is more to gay life than dance parties... OMG I can't believe I said that!

Well their is a break from Mardi Gras till ANZAC Eve when were of to the next big one featuring Tony Moran at Homesexual.

Positive = Positive not Negative

I know I'm gay that's a given, but when is a positive a negative?

Not being an expert on car stuff as I stereo type myself and say I'm gay, but I did ask the girl at the auto shop if she was an expert on car batteries, to which she replied "Yes".

After trusting her and buying the battery and putting it in my car only to see smoke coming from my alternator did I question when is positive negative.  Never you stupid idiot.

So the other day after I cooked my alternator and flattened my battery and payed over A$600.00 to repair  I now know that positive is on the right hand side and that batteries have positive on the left hand side also.

Sure I connected it but when asked if you are an expert on something don't say you are when clearly you are not!!!

Thanks BITCH.

Back from Adelaide

During the week I returned to Adelaide to inspect my home and conduct some much needed routine maintenance in the garden and spa.

I flew Virgin Airlines as I always do, but this time I was seated in the new Premium Economy section (as shown below).  The extra legroom was greatly appreciated and the flash red leather seats were so comfortable.  I managed to scam my ass back in the seat on both flights.

One of the advantages is the late check on and early exit with minimal wait for ones luggage.
Special thanks to those lovely girls at check in at Virgin..

Our final Party - Homesexual

Two hours sleep after ToyBox we were off to our 5th party in 8 days, Homesexual, at Home nightclub.  The party was a sellout as the previous 3 were also, yet it was uncomfortably crowded.  We waited till 4am for the guest DJ Offer Nissam to appear, we left in less than hour.

I must admit we were not into his style at all, so dissapointed were we, we promised never to go to Homesexual after Mardi Gras again.

Each to their own I guess..

ToyBox Delivers

After 3 hours sleep from the Mardi Gras After Party it was time to get ready for the next one.

ToyBox has over the past few years been the best dance party that I have ever experienced. Having waited 1 year with the problems of last years party and the disappointment of the cancellation of the Luminere Party six months ago we were uncertain what to expect.

Congratulations to the ToyBox team you delivered an incredible party with amazing music fantastic laser light shows and a finale seen below that was breathtaking.

The finale shown above featured a drag queen raised into the air, her dress then opened and spread out covering the entire dance floor, once released it flowed over the party goers disappearing as confetti bombs exploded above covering everyone with colored paper.

We are sold on ToyBox parties, we love them, and can only look forward to the next one!

Mardi Gras Party

I know it was over a week ago but you may not have seen some of these images of Australia's largest GLBT event - Sydney"s Mardi Gras Party.

Although I did take my  with me I was quickly in no shape to take photographs, so these images are credited to Anne-Marie Calilhana.

During the 10 hour Party the RHI Pavilion played host to a number of musical gay icons such as Olivia Newton John, Carlotta with David Campbell performed with over 40 drag queens while Cyndi Lauper closed the party with her hit "Girls just want to have fun".

Images of my Partner and I have been appearing on a number of websites!

We spent half of the evening in the Horden pavillion, some the best laser displays were seen here, we unfortunately missed the laser man though.

What a great party, I must say though that this was a 30th..... where was the big bang at the end, I strongly believe a finale like that seen at Toybox Parties should have been incorporated to leave patrons smiling.

Thanks Panther for your input.. appreciated and updated.

What an Experience

What an Experience!

This was a 5 year dream to walk proudly up Oxford Street flying the rainbow flag wearing my uniform.

As I commenced  walking along Elizabeth St and turned up Oxford St my emotions started to take over, I shed a tear or two.

The most incredible moment of the parade was when I saw my closest friend Bruce who was a marshall, I ran to him and gave him a hug and kiss, I then sighted my partner who was against the fence taking photo's.  To be able to embrace with your partner on Oxford St in front of so many people was an amazing feeling.

I had only watched the parade and marshaled prior to this year.  It is very hard to describe the adrenaline that you get.  Walking up Oxford St with 350,000 people watching, screaming, and cheering has to be experienced.

30th Mardi Gras in Sydney

On Saturday I was fortunate to join 10,000 others in marching in the 30th annual GLBT Mardi Gras.  Armed with my camera I captured these images prior to joining the fire brigade entry.

Floats in Elizabeth St prepare for the 3 km trip up Oxford St

This year the procession was led by American Comedian Margaret Cho along with Redfern couple Shane Brennan and Craig Gee- partners who were bashed while holding hands in Surry Hills late last year.

This year there was more than 150 floats which included defence force personnel, surf life savers, and the original 1978ers were arrested by police after a protest march was held on international Gay Solidarity Day to commemorate the Stonewall Riots in the United States.

Happy 2nd Anniversary to Us!

Last night my boy and I attended the underwear / swimwear Party at arq nightclub, it was officially our 2nd Anniversary last night as we met at the popular party exactly two years ago.

Love you babe!

The event was sold out with about 800 hot boys wearing very little.  It was a great night, unfortunately we can only bring home memories, no images as they would need an X rating warning..... sorry.

Tomorrow is the Big one the 30th Mardi Gras and I'm marching with the NSW Fire Brigade float.

Harbor Party Goes Off!

Last Sunday my boy and i went to the Harbor Party, part of Sydney's Mardi Gras festival.  This was my first time and saw the party return to the capable hands of New Mardi Gras, thankfully after last years closure.
Arguably having one of the best back drops in the world the Party was deemed a success with over 3 thousand party goers dancing into the night to happy tropical tunes.

At about 6.15 pm two dear friends stood atop of the Harbor Bridge and witnessed the two princesses of the sea pass each other inthe Harbor as the Queen Victoria pictured above reversed out of it's dock and the Queen Mary 2 replaced it.

Hot and Sexy Copacabana

Last night my partner and I went to Homesexual Copacabana with about 1500 male party goers. Can you see me? I'm wearing yellow 3D glasses looking at my Partner..
By about 1am most were shirtless, the heat was on and sweat was running.

The theme was "Copacabana" which was interpreted in various ways, boys in jeans to boys in lycra swimwear, eye candy was abundant, the music was fantastic with some amazing mixes of abba classics.

It was my fist time in the renovated club, I must say I love it, more space and the raised platforms create terrific site seeing opportunities.

We partied till the early hours of the morning with some close friends before returning home for some wild horizontal action...oh what a night!
