Sunbathing at ST. Pancras

A stunning team of St. Tropez models ‘flash mobbed’ delighted commuters at London’s Historic St. Pancras International station on the hottest day of the year so far. Thirty barefooted, flip-flop shod ambassadors stripped off, pulled out their towels and set up what appeared to be an international sun-baking station on the concourse.

They complimented their sensational St Tropez tans by wearing designer Speedos and footwear as they helped support Sun Awareness Week 2008 in the UK. Sun Awareness Week is the British Association of Dermatologists’ annual drive to promote sun safety.

Cuban Government Moves To End Homophobia

Cuba's gay community celebrated unprecedented openness - and high-ranking political alliances - with a government-backed campaign against homophobia on the weekend.

The meeting at a convention center in Havana's Vedado district may have been the largest gathering of openly gay activists ever on the communist-run island. President Raul Castro's daughter Mariela, who has promoted the rights of sexual minorities, presided.

"This is a very important moment for us, the men and women of Cuba, because for the first time we can gather in this way and speak profoundly and with scientific basis about these topics," said Castro, director of Cuba's Center for Sexual Education.

Mariela Castro joined government leaders and hundreds of activists at the one-day conference for the International Day Against Homophobia that featured shows, lectures, panel discussions and book presentations. A station also offered blood-tests for sexually transmitted diseases.

Cuban state television gave prime-time play Friday to the U.S. film "Brokeback Mountain," which tells the story of two cowboys who conceal their homosexual affair.

Prejudice against homosexuals remains deeply rooted in Cuban society, but the government has steadily moved away from the Puritanism of the 1960s and 1970s, when homosexuals hid their sexuality for fear of being ridiculed, fired from work or even imprisoned.

Now Cuba's parliament is studying proposals to legalize same-sex unions and give gay couples the benefits that people in traditional marriages enjoy.

Ben Cohen Ousts David Beckham in ‘Gay Times’ Sports Personality of Year

England Rugby star Ben Cohen has trounced David Beckham by winning the gold medal in the GT’ Readers’ Award for ‘Sports Personality of the Year’—silver for ‘Sexiest Man of the Year’.

Traditionally it has been David Beckham who wins these awards. So is Becks losing his luster in the eyes of gay men?

Instead Cohen, the second-highest all-time Rugby Union England try-scorer, has scored a major hit with gay men across the UK.

“Ben Cohen is a fabulous mountain of a man and I’m not surprised he’s charmed our readers so thoroughly,” commented GT editor Joseph Galliano.

Ben Cohen said: “I’m really flattered and am constantly surprised by the amount of attention I get from gay people—to win these awards fromGay Times is just brilliant.”

The rugby hunk pushed David Beckham into second place in the week when Mrs. Victoria ‘Posh’ Beckham revealed that gay men fancied her, but straight guys didn’t.

Actor John Barrowman took top spot in the Sexiest Man of the Year category, with Cohen placing second.

Herndon Climb time: 2:35:59

A wiry volleyball player from Pennsylvania had the honor this morning of scaling the Herndon Monument, signaling the end of the freshman or "plebe" year for the Naval Academy Class of 2011.

This year's time of 2 hours, 35 minutes and 59 seconds was more than an hour longer than last year's time of 1 hour, 32 minutes, 42 seconds.
This year's Herndon Climb was slightly different from past years, because upperclassmen did not soak the plebes - and the ground around the monument - with a garden hose while they attempted to make the climb.

Although the monument was greased in 100 pounds of lard courtesy of 1st Company, there were no mocking messages written into the lard, as in past.

Legend has it that the plebe who scales Herndon will be the first in the class to become admiral, but this prediction has never proved true.

It was inevitable

A funny thing occurred yesterday, I called a dear female friend in Adelaide whom a number of years ago was going out with my best friend.

One day I was asked by both of them, whether or not she should take the job as cabin crew for emerites airline on an 18 month contract.  I said " absolutely yes go for it", to both her and her mothers excitement, but my best friend whom expected me to say no was not impressed.  

She later accepted the contract and worked overseas jet setting all over the world having an amazing time.  She returned and got married to my best friend but they grew apart and are no longer together.

So yesterday when I mentioned that I had applied for QANTAS cabin crew, and that I had passed all of my interviews and that I feel confident of being offered a position, I asked her should I give up being a fire fighter to become a cabin crew member, she replied "absolutely YES go for it!", we both laughed and I said I should have known "It was inevitable" those comments would come back and bite me on the ass.

What to do?

Continue working as a fire fighter in a macho environment or if offered take the cabin crew position....

John Foreman & Matt Lee reportedly an Item

ANOTHER two Australian showbusiness stars have added their names to the growing list of same-sex couples within the industry.

FOLLOWING on from Anthony Callea and Million Dollar Wheel Of Fortune host Tim Campbell, the latest potential same-sex showbiz couple has been revealed. Music guru John Foreman, of Australian Idol fame, and So You Think You Can Dance judge Matt Lee are reportedly an item. 

They were spotted leaving the Channel Ten Logies after-party in the early hours of the morning and certainly seemed to be getting along swimmingly.

14 held in raid on suspected gay joint

PENANG: Police detained 14 men at a fitness and sauna centre believed to be a front for gay activities.

In the 6pm. raid on Saturday, police from the state anti - vice department also seized 1,800 condoms.

Six naked men were caught in three toilets (wonder what they were doing) while others were found patronising the establishment.

Used condoms were found littered all over the place - (they might need a cleaner)

Aged between 20 and 30, they were remanded to assist in investigations into immoral activities.

This being the third time the centre has been raided since last November, Police have stated that they would recommend to close it down.

On November 5Th last year, police raided the centre and discovered it was used to host a sex party, they rounded up 34 men aged between 22 and 55.
