Gay cops rally against discrimination
Police officers pledge "to serve and protect" not just the community but their coworkers as well. Yet LGBT officers have found that not everyone adheres to this oath, reports The Providence [R.I.] Journal .
Problems include fellow officers who would ignore gay officers' calls for backup, who refused to ride with them in the same patrol car, who slandered them at headquarters, and who neglected to consider them for promotion.

As I produce this story I am chatting to one of my closest gay friends a Police Officer in the Counter Terrorism Unit.
He tells me stories that match those listed above and more, especially about promotion opportunities and why he doesn't pursue advancement.
It is a disgrace that because of whom I lie in bed with at night that this should jeopardise my advancement in any organisation let alone a government one.

My First Sauna Experience
As part of broadening my experiences in the gay world I went to Towelclub a sauna whilst visiting Singapore about 3 years ago. It is in my memory bank as it was my first experience, I was a sauna virgin, subsequently I had no idea what to expect.
I was told Sunday nights were good from a friend who visited this sauna regularly while in Singapore.
Finding the Sauna was a challenge as their was no sign, just a small number on a huge timber door, no lights just a dim glow from the street lamp across the road.
I arrived late, it must have been about 11pm I guess, so the place was virtually empty. I remember getting undressed and put on my swimmers and wrapped the towel around my waist. I could feel eyes on me, almost pulling at my towel as I fastened it tighter so it wouldn't fall off.

I turned as I locked my locker and caught a couple of gorgeous boys getting dressed, I said to myself "dam... they are cute". I wandered around like a puppy searching his new territory, oh the spa.. right looks nice, but who knows whats floating on top.
I walked around and found the bar, showers and the steam room, ....oh I thought I might go in there and relax, little did I know what was behind that door and how dark it was.
I went into auto pilot like an aircraft, I had all my weight on my back foot as I swept my front foot from side to side and my right arm swept from side to side, left arm up and down. This is what we do when we're searching a building full of smoke to protect ourselves from electrocution and falling through the floor, both of which have happened to me previously.
This sweeping motion just comes naturally, it has been taught over and over so it happens automatically as soon as we are in a dark environment.
As I touched guys, I would apologise,"Sorry", oh "Sorry" as I felt their hand come back to feel me..
I could sense someone was following me, I found the door and quickly walked out, a nice Asian boy was outside, then this guy came out, he was about 6'4 large build and hairy (oh no thanks), he said "hello", I replied "hi", he said "your hot", I said "thanks".(wont work on me fella, I thought)
He leaned over and touched me,"Do you want to", I finished his sentence and said "no thanks", as i removed his hand from my trembling skin, he said "don't you like me, am I too big?, aren't I your type?", I replied "I'm in Singapore derr", OMG..(Yes !! your a fat hairy ugly old man!!, and I am so into fat old ugly hairy men) I said in my mind, although he had a nice Canadian accent. I said no offence "I'm not interested, but thank you".
He walked away, I was relieved I chatted to this nice Asian boy for awhile, I asked "where do people go in here?", he said to the rooms!, "rooms what rooms?" I asked, "come with me." He showed me around, OMG there were so many, and a large open lounge come bench, I enquired "is that a chill out area"?, "no that's for orgies" he said, OMG I thought..
After the tour I asked him would he like to join me in a room, he said he had to go, I think he was into sticky rice. (Asians who only like other Asians)
I wondered around and ended up face to face with the Canadian guy again, "Hello" he said, "Hi" I replied, as I hurriedly walked around him.
I bumped into the boy that was showing me around, I told him I was being harassed by this Canadian guy, I said "I want to punch him out"..(so butch) he said "no don't do that", I was thinking I was not going to get lucky...
I wandered around for awhile, then this nice muscled boy came up and said "hello", I smiled he grabbed my hand and said "come with me". Oh "OK", I replied, I felt wanted, needed, we went to a room dimmed the lights, before I knew it he had my towel and bathers off and was sucking my hard one.
I like to talk and get to know people first I thought... so I stopped him and asked him "Where you from?" he replied "America", "oh OK, cool" I replied, he got back to business.
I thought as I lay back on my bench, I'm getting a blow job from an American in Singapore in a small darkened booth in a sauna in a dark lane way with a single door entrance. OK..great
My new friend stopped and asked "what do I like?"," I told him I was versatile", "OK" he said so we got into position, did the right thing and like hitting a wall, down it went. OMG, what I thought, come on, nope stage fright. I had lost it. he had too, we laughed and secretly cried in our minds.
Nothing happened, we left the booth, it was about midnight and I thought I'm out of here.
I left the sauna and started walking back to my hotel only to realise their were no trains or buses, nothing so I had a long walk back to the Hotel.
An hour later I had some of the best sex I have had.... (that's next week).
When an Open Inspection never Closes
I was driving home this morning and I noticed this Open Inspection, I laughed all the way home grabbed my camera and ran down the street hoping the sales rep would not pack up and go.
When I arrived I said "I have to take a photo of this, it's the funniest thing I have seen in ages."
He said "he had held an open inspection on a vacant lot of land, and that's funny".
So when does Open Inspection become closed when there are no walls and no roof?

Gay couple adopt child in Perth, Western Australia
Church groups and opposition warn that the fact that Western Australia's attorney general welcomed the country's first adoption by a gay couple Today could sideline children’s rights in the push for equality.
Western Australia and the Australian Capital Territory are alone among Australia's eight states and territories in allowing same-sex partnerships the same adoption rights as heterosexual couples. Nationwide, however, individuals - gay or straight - have had the right to adopt children for years.
State Attorney General Jim McGinty hailed Australia's first gay adoption, approved Wednesday, as "groundbreaking." McGinty changed state law in 2002 to remove discrimination against gays and lesbians.
"I don't think a person's sexual orientation in any way at all influences or determines their capacity to love a child, to support that child and to bring it into a caring environment," McGinty told reporters Today.
Ghassan Kassisieh, spokesman for the Sydney-based Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby, which is campaigning for equality under adoption laws, welcomed the news, saying it was Australia's first adoption by a same-sex couple.
Opposition lawmakers and a church group accused the government of pandering to minority groups and not considering the children's rights.
"This shouldn't have been about the rights of gay couples. It should be about the rights of a child to have the influence of a mother and father," opposition lawmaker Matt Birney said.
Australian Christian Lobby managing director Jim Wallace said the law was "making children commodities" by dismissing their rights to suitable family lives.
McGinty said the baby boy's mother had approved the state's choice of adoptive parents, although she did not know the men.
The government has not released the identities of any of the parents or the child.
L.A. Pride Parade
Over the weekend the L.A. Pride parade was held on a beautiful sunny day, certainly the right time of day.... Please Sydney organisers can we have it in the afternoon so we can see all the floats and the boys..
I love the fact the the L.A. fire dept got involved, I would love to be dancing on top of our appliance in my over pants in Sydney, it would be a dream come true.

China Gay Bars support Aids HIV awareness
Nineteen gay venues in Beijing have launched a joint education campaign to help curb the spread of HIV/AIDS among their clients.
The venues, mostly bars, will distribute free condoms, display AIDS awareness posters and even promote the safe sex message in dance performances.
According to the memorandum of understanding, bar owners are responsible for promoting safe sex among their gay clientele in their venues.
Condom vending machines will be installed in many venues, and trained staff will be offered a financial bonus for promoting the safe sex message.
"As the Internet develops rapidly, people are coming to terms with their sexuality much earlier, and are being more sexually active from a younger age," Xiao said.
"Some HIV-infected men are just 16 years old."
More than half of gay men are believed to have multiple sex partners, and some also have female partners, increasing the risk of the virus spreading among women.
This, according to the WHO, accounts for a major reason why gay men are considered a high-risk group.
"I believe gays in China face less discrimination than in the West. Some people think it is just different sexual orientation," one bar owner surnamed Sun, who signed the AIDS education campaign statement, said.
