Last hurrah for Paris Hilton

SOON-to-be-jailbird Paris Hilton made a surprise appearance at the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles today, as media staked out the prison where party girl will be imprisoned.

Hilton turned up at the MTV show in Universal City today wearing a black strapless dress and jewels in her long blonde hair, the Associated Press reported.

She stopped briefly to pose for photos and speak to reporters.
"I've gotten thousands of letters from all over the world," Hilton said, referring to her looming jail sentence, before entering the show.

Whilst sitting in the front row Paris was not spared.

The ceremony's host, Sarah Silverman, drew loud cheers just by mentioning her upcoming date with the law.

The raunchy comedian joked that the bars of Hilton's cell would be painted like penises to make her feel more comfortable, but noted: "I just worry that she's going to break her teeth on those things."
